Holiday Catering By One Of My Favs, Buca di Beppo

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Buca di Beppo. All opinions are 100% mine.

One of my favorite restaurants ever is Buca di Beppo! My sister had her wedding rehearsal dinner at the Seattle location years ago and the food was amazing! Based on the Italian homestyle meals and authenic decor, I had no idea there were multiple locations until they opened one in my town. I was thrilled when I saw their “coming soon” sign!

Since their open, I’ve had several lunches with my buddies from work at Buca di Beppo, and knowing how much I love it, they even threw me a surprise baby shower in one of their rooms. Their dishes are served family-style, perfect for our special occasions and now, our holiday parties! Oh what fun it would be to have a holiday feast at work with Buca di Beppo catering.

If you’d like to treat your friends or employees to an amazing Italian feast at your home or workplace, Buca di Beppo will assist you in meal planning and portions given the size of your get together, no matter how big or small your group and budget. Their menu has something for everyone! If you Order Party Pans To Go, available for pickup or delivery, I highly recommend my fav dish, the spicy chicken rigatoni, a side of their roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and probably a little bit of everything else on their menu because honestly, how can you possibly decide given their amazing menu options?

Buca di Beppo’s lasagna features towering layers of meat sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, provolone and Parmesan is another one of my favs!

My cousin teaching everyone how to balance a spoon on their noses at my sister’s wedding rehearsal dinner and my surprise baby shower, both at our favorite restaraunt, Buca di Beppo!

Do you all have any holiday parties coming up? If so, I highly recommend Buca di Beppo catering! Happy Holidays!

Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate

You need this slow cooker hot chocolate recipe in your life for the holidays! I’m not kidding! I tried other slow cooker hot chocolate recipes found at Pinterest, but they were WAY too sweet by adding sweetened condensed milk. This one uses cream and chocolate, with a hint of vanilla. It tastes just like a Starbucks hot chocolate, yum yum!

I made this slow cooker hot chocolate recipe for Thanksgiving and it was a hit! I doubled the recipe for 8 people, we all had a couple of glasses, and I had a lot leftover that I gave to my neighbors in a Chinese to-go soup container, topped with a bow. I love to doorstep bomb my neighbors with all of the goodies I make for my blog. I think they enjoy being my taste testers :)

Create a hot chocolate bar next to your slow cooker by laying out a few fun mix-matched mugs, a ladle over a spoon rest, a couple of liqueurs, and extra points for mini marshmallows. I happen to have Kahlua, Baileys, and Frangelica on hand. And by the way, Frangelica, a hazelnut liqueur, will make your hot chocolate taste like Nutella hot chocolate, yum yum! If you have mint flavored Baileys, that would be an amazing option as well!

Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate

Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 8 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Add all ingredients to the slow cooker (for a double batch, I used a 7 quart slow cooker), stirring occasionally until chocolate is completely melted. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring well before each serving. Serve hot and garnish well!

Breaking The Ice

It’s been 2 years since I posted my face at my own blog back when I was pregnant {with the exception of a few far away shots for sponsored posts where my face was required} and I’m just not sure when or why I lost my nerve. A few guesses are… I was a new mom and always looked/felt tired, who has the time to dress up???, things have shifted since I had a baby, I can’t just snag my husband and run out for outfit pics when I have a little toddler at home, Pinterest and Instagram have blown up in the past two years and sometimes I feel like my pics just aren’t “perfect” enough anymore…

Eeek! That’s a long list, but I’ve had every one of those thoughts. My blog is my creative outlet and inspires me to, as my tagline says, “Try something new today”! So, my “something new today” is an outfit post. I’m breaking the ice and hopefully it will get a little easier each time. I’m turning inspiration, this Kendall Jenner look for less I found at my friend The Budget Babe’s blog, into reality today! My sister was here in Florida visiting from Washington this week, so we had a little bit of girl time while our hubbies watched the kids… getting dolled up, dressed up, and snapping up pics. It was SO FUN! Thanks The Budget Babe and sister for making me feel pretty again!

Forever 21 tan turtleneck {sold out – similar here} | H&M quilted faux leather miniskirt | Forever 21 long black wool-blend coat | Zara black and white two-tone satchel {sold out in white – similar here} | ModCloth black lace-up boots | JewelMint Blanc Bomb white and gold ring

Hopefully I did the outfit justice. I love all of the pieces. They’re perfect for mixing and matching. I can’t wait to wear the faux leather quilted mini skirt out on a date with my man.

Do you read blogs for inspiration and then turn inspiration into reality when you find the time? I hope so! Is this a look you would try?

The Saturday Steal – Rebecca Minkoff Mab Mini

I’ve been a huge fan of Rebecca Minkoff handbags for years. In fact, I just picked up her cupid mini last week! I love Rebecca Minkoff’s super popular MAB mini, but the price tag is just too high for me. Luckily, a look for less showed up right to my inbox yesterday!

The Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini comes with a price tag of $395 {now on sale for $316}, while the look for less is only $59. Both handbags are available in black or tan, have a detachable crossbody shoulder strap, an envelope style front pocket, studded feet hardware, and a tassel zipper closure.

My Sparkly, Bubbly Stolen Moments

When John is napping, I steal a moment! The majority of my moments are all about documenting the next fun project for Fab Fatale. I have a full-time day job and then I’m all about my baby boy after hours, so all of my blogging takes place when he naps on the weekends. Instead of taking a much-needed break when John snoozes, I amp up my hustle! I run around like a crazy person with my camera snapping up photos of that moment’s project, usually a fun recipe or mani, trying to get in as much as possible before I hear his first coo of awakeness.

The real stolen moment, if I actually get everything done before John wakes up, is rare and oh so relaxing! I land on the chaise of my couch, no makeup, an oversized tee, my broken-in comfy jeans, magazines, a bubbly zero-calorie fruitwater (in a stemless wine glass, of course), and an episode of Seriously Distracted! It just doesn’t get any better than a stylish sparkly beverage in hand and a hilarious workplace comedy about the women of Le Grande PR on my laptop.

Seriously Distracted airs every Tuesday on POPSUGAR and you can catch my fav episode below!
