Kohl’s challenged me to put together a Spring outfit with a $100 gift card to go with something I already have in my closet. I chose my favorite nude flats because they are my go-to shoes all Spring and Summer long. I probably should have diversified my selections, but as usual, I ran straight for the LC by Lauren Conrad collection. My little man was born 11 days ago, so I was worried about finding something that fit and LC did not disappoint. Lauren Conrad’s Spring 2013 collection was full of flowey non-fitted tops and blouses, and a bright green hi-low maxi skirt {elastic waistband, yay}, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

LC Lauren Conrad Polka-Dot Chambray Henley regularly $44, on sale for $28.60 and LC Lauren Conrad Pencil Jeans in dark wash regularly $54, on sale for $34.99. I LOVE everything about this top – the cut, the fit, the material, the style, and the polka dots.

LC Lauren Conrad Embellished Ruffle Tee regularly $36, on sale for $14.40 and LC Lauren Conrad Hi-Low Chiffon Skirt regularly $58, on sale for $43.50.

This was the winning outfit for me. I didn’t have a baby shower because things were just too hectic around the holidays and then we moved shortly after. Instead we are going to have a “Sip and See” this summer lol. I was hoping that I could find something worthy of a poolside summer baby shower and this outfit was PERFECT! My shopping haul was with a purpose and I accomplished my mission of finding a fun barbeque outfit that’s casual, yet stand out.

With my $100 gift card, I ended up taking home the green skirt, embellished ruffle tee, and the chambray top after saving $55.11! Thank you so much Kohl’s!!!
