I went all the way to the beach and hired a photographer with minted’s holiday cards in mind. We’ve never had professional pics taken as a family of four, or even as a family of three, so I was beyond excited about the entire process. I had a vision!
Last year, I had what felt like jet-lag because baby girl was only a month old (and had severe colic), so we grabbed mismatched clothes from our closet, settled on a photo that I took in our backyard, and slapped it on a holiday card. But not this year! Although I’m still super sleep deprived, I really wanted professional family pics, and to send out a card that captures the beauty and sentiment of the season.
Remember those maternity pics my mom and sis gifted me last year? I called up the amazingly talented photographer, Desiree Gardner in Panama City, and let her know that I’m ready to get together with her again, this time for our first family photo. I spent the next day hunting down coordinating outfits and strapping a christmas tree to the top of our car for the road trip.
I can’t wait to share all of our family beach christmas card pics soon, but for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, I really wanted to feature minted’s beautiful holiday cards and their current promotions. Building Your Holiday Card
View Photo In All Templates
My favorite feature of building a card at minted is that I can upload a single photo and then see all of their templates including my photo as I scroll through the endless, beautiful options. At other sites, I have to go to a card that “may look good”, personalize the card, just to realize that it’s just not going to work with my pic. This feature saves a ton of time! I can then filter the results by layout, I chose landscape to fit the orientation of my pic, and by feature, I knew I wanted their “real foil” lettering on my card.
Once you choose the perfect template for your card, now it’s time to personalize. I opted for gold foil details, rounded corners, a Christmas greeting, and a collage of images on the back. I had so much trouble deciding which pic to use for our card, that it was nice to have the option of including several more for the backing.
Who knew there were so many options for an envelope? At minted, their options are so beautiful. They include free addressing, in the style of your choice, for all of your card recepients. You can even choose your color of envelope and an optional return address printing or stamps for an additional fee.
