Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas - DIY Dead Bride Skeleton Zombie

Did any of you see my spooky Halloween skeleton look on Instagram last night? If you’re looking for a last minute DIY Halloween costume idea, I’ve got an easy, yet SO creepy look for you! This is the first time I’ve ever dressed spooky for Halloween, rather than a character, and it was kinda fun to freak people out lol. A few people didn’t even recognize me.

Not only is this costume easy, it was also super affordable. I bought black and white face paint {$2.95 each} and two cans of gray hairspray {also $2.95 each} all at our local drugstore. If you have a white dress, then you’re set. I didn’t, so I picked up a vintage inspired lacy white dress shipped to my house from Amazon Prime. Thank goodness for that overnight shipping. Lastly, I picked up some white tights, white lace gloves, and some dark red roses {$3.50} at Michael’s and I was done.

I didn’t follow a tutorial for my face paint, I just stared at the creepy pic below by Michael Broussardart and tried to follow the same lines. I used an eyeliner brush for most of the makeup. For the gray cheekbone and chin contouring, I mixed the black and white paint and just dabbed it on with my fingers.
