Blackberry Sangria Recipe

Happy last Boozey Tuesdays of summer! As the season comes to an end, so does my summer cocktail series. I hope you all tried out a recipe or two? If so, you’ll have to let me know what you think.

Today, I have a blackberry sangria for you all, my second favorite cocktail ever, just after the frozen mudslide. The blackberry sangria will transition your summer sangria into fall by replacing the white wine and light summer fruit with your favorite cabernet and blackberries. I’ve actually covered this blackberry sangria recipe at my blog before (it’s a recipe from Carrabbas), but I had to bring it back for Boozey Tuesdays and thought it needed an updated pic. Enjoy!

Blackberry Sangria

Yield: 8 Blackberry Sangrias

  • 14 ounces of Monin Blackberry Mix Syrup
  • 14 ounces of cranberry juice
  • 1 small can Sprite
  • 1/2 cup blackberries

  1. In a pitcher, combine house wine, Tuaca, blackberry syrup, and cranberry juice. Serve over ice with a splash of sprite and garnish with a blackberry. Enjoy!

I adore sangria, and am going to see if my grocery store has blackberries. I have a few friends coming over this weekend, and I can see us devouring these drinks (with a non alcohol version for the kids. ie sprite). :)

This looks so good! I love sangria, it reminds me of my grandmother. We always loved to sip something like this back in the day while having the best conversations ever. I miss her and think that I will make this in her honor and have some great conversation with my mom. There are sure to be plenty of laughs and a good time, thanks for sharing!

  • This sounds divine!! I’ve made a few sangrias in my lifetime but I’ve never thought to add berries…and berries are my favourite fruit!
