Baby John’s Birth Announcement

Boy Birth Announcement

Ever since I designed my sister’s owl themed baby shower invitations, my beach airline ticket invitations, and my maternity Christmas card I swore off ever buying another template card or invitation again.

I am in no way affiliated with VistaPrint, but I probably should be lol. They make it super easy to print your own designs, they allow free color printing on the back of the card, and they don’t add in their logo. The thing that makes VistaPrint so easy is that they offer free dowloadable blank .psd templates so that you can start with the correct dimensions, color mode and dpi for print. They take out all of the guess work allowing you to focus on the design and then upload the finished file when you’re done. They also have really great prices and offer 50% off promo codes by email often.

My sister found this adorable birth announcement, on Pinterest of course. Her birth announcement was inspired by this photographer’s announcement, and her announcement was inspired by this “What We Wore” fashion blog lol. I love each variation.

Gender Neutral Nursery

I have no idea how my inspiration birth announcement got an arial shot above her crib, so I thought I’d share my behind-the-scenes set up above. I propped the crib mattress on a wedge and covered it in a fluffy white material. The outtakes of him sliding down that wedge are hilarious. As you flip through the pics fast enough, they look animated lol. Next, I just popped my favorite pic into the VistaPrint template and had fun designing the text and arrows. Since VistaPrint allows for free printing on the backside, I was able to add in our “New Baby, New Home” address, a card that captures the madness of our past month lol.

I’ll be doing a post soon with pics of my gender neutral nursery.
