DIY Nail Polish

Oh my, the cuteness that is going on behind my laptop is impossible to ignore. My little man is modelling for a photo session at Long’s Photography as I sit on a couch and edit my Manicure Mondays pics. He is so moldable, being placed in so many cute positions and snoozing through the entire thing. Mama’s little modelling prodigy lol. The photo session was free so that they could use the pics for their promotional materials, but I’m sure I’m going to be buying one of every pic lol. I can tell Mani Mondays is going to go out a little later than usual today. My little man also made his rounds on Racer X today {my husband is in the moto business}. Thanks for the congrats Racer X… wish I knew how they got that pic… not my best moment lol.

I had an exciting chance to DIY my own nail polish, and by DIY, I mean Design It Yourself. Makeably is a very cool marketplace that connects buyers and makers of custom projects. If you have an idea for custom art, but don’t have the skills to execute your idea, you can find a “maker” at Makeably. Knowing that I am addicted to nail polish, Makeably contacted me to try out their services and paired me with JenSations, their custom nail polish maker to design my own polish.

The nail polish I designed was of course named after my blog and in my blog’s colors. Jen used a creamy beige base, slate blue glitter to coordinate with my logo, and a drab green to match my accent colors. I asked her to pack it full of glitter so that I get a lot of glitter per stroke. I wanted the blue to be my primary color with just a bit of green. The polish came out EXACTLY as I wanted it and I couldn’t be happier.

The products mentioned in this post were sent to me by the merchant or their PR company. All opinions are 100% my own. For more info, please view my full disclosure policy.
