My Life As I Know It…

Goodbye Home

… is about to change. Only the city and this blog will stay the same and I just can’t seem to get it together today!

In one week, we’ve sold our house and I sold my first blog, The Looks For Less. It’s nice to close a couple of chapters in my life as we move on to so many new beginnings, but the future didn’t make saying goodbye to our past as we walked though our house one last time today any less sad. That house is home to so many amazing memories and I will miss it so much. After walking through, I thought I could get it together by the time we got to closing, but no, I had crocodile tears so big I could barely see the paperwork I was signing at a table full of lawyers, realtors, and the new buyers LOL.

Next, we’ll slowly start unpacking the boxes at our rental, get ready for baby that is due in less than a month (cutting it close, I know), breaking ground on the house we’ll be building over the next 7 months, and then I’ll be on maternity leave for 3 months. Wow, so many changes that will all happen within the same month, possibly the same week if this baby comes early!

As happy as I am about everything we have going on, at times I wish I could focus and enjoy one thing at a time, but again, I look forward to enjoying that new baby in our new house at the end of the year. That’s what has kept me motivated and stress free throughout this process. I just hope I am able to handle all of this transition at once without too much anxiety. Wish us luck… we’re going to need it ;)

Jennifer, my heart goes out to you. All of these changes, though positive, can be very stressful. You seem to be such a strong, stable, and smart person that I have no doubt you will get through it just fine. My best to you and your husband. I feel that the best is yet to come for you! Can’t wait to see your sweet baby! Patti
