Last September, while models were strutting down the spring/summer 2013 runways, we were just starting to get our first taste of cool fall weather. I immediately recreated Chanel’s Haute Couture nail art in their pink creme and metallic silver color palette, but knew that I’d like to winterize the look for the fall/winter season that had just begun.
To mix in one more trend, I thought what better nail polish color to feature than Pantone’s color of the year for 2013, emerald. As opposed to Chanel’s spring version of cream on metallic, I thought I’d go for a shimmery green nail polish as an emerald should sparkle, no?
I paired the shimmery emerald nail polish with a gold metallic base for a true jewel feel. The colors I had on hand were Zoya’s Holly, the perfect emerald nail polish shade and China Glaze’s Midnight Kiss

So what do you think of this winter version of Chanel’s Haute Couture nail art? Do you like it refashioned with Pantone’s 2013 color of the year, emerald?
