Zoya 18k Gold Gilty Pleasures Swatches

Zoya just released their Gilty 18K real gold flake topcoat and it is gorgeous! Yes, it really is gold. This limited edition full size color is available individually or as a part of the very limited edition “Gilty Pleasures” gift set. The special gift set includes Zoya Raven (black) and Zoya Purity (white) in a magnetic closure felt lined box. I can’t wait to swatch the 18k gold flake top coat over some of my favorite jewel-tone polishes this winter.

Zoya Purity Swatch

Zoya Purity is the perfect pure white for winter. Some bright white polishes are difficult to work with, but Purity went on perfectly in two coats with no streaks or bald spots. I use white so much in my nail art {let it snow manicure, snake manicure, 4th of July nails, union jack manicure, and palm tree manicure} so I’m happy to add a fresh new white polish to my collection.

Zoya Gilty is an 18k gold flake top coat in a clear base. The end result is beautiful, but there wasn’t much glitter per stroke and it doesn’t pop against the white. I used three coats to get a bit sparkle, but you may like the low contrast subtle look. The clear base is thin, so it was pretty easy to build more layers of gold flakes.

Zoya Raven Swatch

Zoya Raven is a beautiful black nail polish with a barely there silver shimmer. I’m getting a little bored with creams, yet I’m not crazy about frosts or glitters, so this shimmer is perfect for me. I’ll get a lot of use out of this black polish this winter. The formula is easy to apply and went on perfectly in two coats.

Zoya Gilty looks amazing over Raven. I only used two coats here, but it popped so well against the black. I worked the brush a little to get more glitter into each stroke. I can’t wait to try it out over other jewel-tones, like maybe a jade shimmer or deep purple.

So what do you all think of the Zoya Gilty Pleasures set? Is this something you would try? It would make the perfect gift for the nail polish lovers on your Christmas list.
