Previous: Happy Manicure Mondays on a Tuesday lol. I was so dang busy this weekend that all I had time to do was paint and take pics, which was a good 5 hour project for 12 swatches. I had to wait until after the weekend to edit and post because we are trying to sell our house and spent the entire weekend, other than painting nails, “spring cleaning” my house in the fall. Whew, I think I walked a mile or two in my house getting everything cleaned and staged to sell. We had a photographer come over today to take pics for the realtor website, so now we have the beautiful house I’ve always wanted, just in time to sell LOL.
I have such a fun review and giveaway for you all. Zoya sent me both of their Fall 2012 collections, and I also have a set to give away to one lucky reader. Check out the Zoya Designer and Diva swatches below and then read on for your chance to win these gorgeous collections.
All swatches were taken in direct sunlight. Please read my lighting disclaimer/rant before you buy any of the shades featured below.
Haute off the New York Fashion Week runway is Zoya’s Diva metallic collection for fall 2012.
By far, my favorite shade of both collections, Elisa is a bright, shining medium crimson red with subtle gold shimmer and a glowing metallic finish. The smooth, glowy metallic finish gives this bright red an extra kick. I was never a big fan of metallics until I saw a girl in the airport wearing shredded jeans, a black tank and crimson red metallic nail polish, exactly like Elisa. I’ve been look for a similar shade ever since, and I’ve finally found it.
Suri is a medium blue-toned purple with delicate red and blue shimmer and a smooth metallic finish. For a perfect royal purple nail with interesting red and blue sparkle detail.
Song is a bold, vibrant medium primary blue with silver and blue glittery metallic sparkle. A very vibrant blue with a glittery finish that’s smoother than traditional chunky glitter
Ray is my second favorite color and looks so high-end to me. This green black metallic nail polish looks like it belongs in a Chanel or Nars fall 2012 collection. Ray is a dark blackened pine green with smooth, delicate silver and green frost shimmer. A dark, smoky nail color balanced by a bit of shimmer for a softer effect.
FeiFei is a medium steel blue base with heavy gold, blue and pink iridescent metallic sparkle. This shade is a truly unique sparkling iridescent blue that adds a magical look to your nails.
Daul is a medium red-toned purple base with heavy purple and gold iridescent metallic sparkle. The shiny gold sparkle makes this shimmering purple polish extra bright and lively.
Zoya’s Designer collection is also off the New York Fashion Week 2012 runways and features a beautiful array of dark creamy hues, perfect for fall.
Rekha is a bold medium blood red with a glossy cream finish. A custom runway shade created for fashion designer Bibhu Mohapatra.
Toni is a dark, warm raisin-wine cream with strong purple tones. A fashionable muted oxblood for a classic vampy nail look. The “it” color of the season.
Monica is a dark, soft blue-toned purple with a glossy cream finish. A bit of vibrant couture color, darkened for a bold, dramatic nail look.
Natty is a smoky deep steel blue with an opaque cream finish. A standout smoky blue for an unexpected but very wearable runway look.
Evvie is a dark smoky grey cream with strong teal green undertones. A custom-mixed runway shade created for designer Peter Som.
Noot is a very dark grey cream with strong blue-green undertones. Smoky, smoldering dark grey nails with a twist from the addition of green tones.
My Thoughts On Zoya’s Designer & Diva Collections
As always, the formula for each Zoya nail polish was so easy to apply. The shades went on perfectly and opaque in one coat, but I applied a second coat for depth of color. I really wish their brushes weren’t so small, but the ease of applying the polish makes up for it.
The Zoya Designer and Diva collection colors are so vibrant and right on trend for fall 2012! Surprisingly, my two favorite colors were from the Diva metallics collection – Elisa, the medium crimson red with subtle gold shimmer, and Ray, the dark blackened pine green with silver and green frost shimmer.
