Why didn’t I think of a travel checklist FOREVER ago!?!? I go through the getting ready process in my head about 5 times while packing and try to make sure every lotion and potion lands in my suitcase. Not only is this time consuming, but I always forget something!

With a checklist, I can go through the process without much thought, {hopefully} remember everything I need to pack, and just concentrate on if anything needs a refill. I probably added way too much to this list and can modify it according to the trip. I’ve included a downloadable travel checklist so you can do the same :).

Please let me know if there are any glaring omissions.

Love it – thank you! I think swimsuit(s) should be on the Basics list, because there are always hot tubs in the winter! Oh, and I always “move” into a smaller purse so I don’t have to lug around my big mama. :)

you’re so right! just like my real housewives of beverly hills chatting it up in the hot tub when it was snowing outside in colorado! ugh, i wish! lol

    Awesome list!
I really need it, since I’ll be traveling to Turin, Italy next week, and the packing is the thing I hate the most.

Maybe you should include travel medicine. I always have my mini pharmacy with me, just to be safe ;)

    Thanks sooo much :)

Amazing list! And right on time, im headed to Florida from my home in New York tomorrow! For some reason though, I (a macbook user) am unable to open the downloaded travel checklist. It appears to be zipped? Strangest thing.

I found out about this site from your old site, keep up the great work!

ohhh i hope we can get this worked out so you can use it too, just in time for your trip – it was fate!!! lol i have a macbook too and had no problems opening it just now. i saved it in .xlsx which is the newer version of Excel (.xls is the older version). if this is the problem, you can download the free extension by microsoft for a mac that allows you to open .xlsx on an older version of excel :) i’m too afraid to give computer advice, so i’d look into this first, but i think this may be what you need https://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=19544

  • OMG!!! The most useful post EVER!! I’m downloading it right now!

Seems to have not worked because I do not have Microsoft word/excell. I did however take a screenshot and save it, and I will definitely be using this!

-Thank you so much for taking the time to respond back. It was much appreciated and noticed! I will definitely be keeping up with you site :)

    Thank you! I love this : )

I love this- I would add a few things after looking it over that I find as necessities, but I can’t thank you enough for making this public to put all of this in one place and in an editable format so I can add/replace things on the spreadsheet and reprint so it’s customized!!

    Things I would add:
Perfume, insurance card, drivers license, debit/credit cards,AAA card itinerary, flight/hotel info, eye make-up remover, nail clippers and nail file.
