I ran out to Sally Beauty Supply this weekend to pick up a little somethin somethin for Manicure Mondays and I was so excited to to see that China Glaze and Seche Vite
had teamed up to create a set in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. The China Glaze Go Go Pink is a gorgeous chalky mod pink in the hue of BCA’s signature pink. The set also comes with my FAVORITE Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat and a beautiful key chain angel charm, all for only $8.99. It’s such an easy and elegant manicure, and a great way to support a cause in style!
Now y’all know I always have to add a little razzle dazzle to my manis, so I also picked up this Sally Girl sequin glitter top coat, in nearly the same shade of pink, for a bit of sparkle at only 93 cents. I’m not really into glitter polishes, but I really LOVE these sequin top coats. The last one I did (Gold Sequins over Pale Pink) has become quite popular around the net lol.
So what do you all think of my manicure? Is this something you would try?
On a side note, I finally broke down and started watermarking my manicure pics and I’m so bummed about it. Even after my manis started spreading across the web, I still held strong on not marking my images because I feel the manicures and photography are artsy and I shouldn’t have to muck it up; however, once people started taking my images and text as though they had done the mani themselves, I figured it was time. I often spend nearly an entire Sunday afternoon on my manicures (trying out different ideas, painting the mani, sometimes a little artwork, taking pics, editing, blogging the write up and links) and I really don’t mind people using them, but it would be nice if they asked and/or linked back with credit. I hope the marking is subtle enough and doesn’t take away from the pic.
