China Glaze Breast Cancer Awareness Go Go Pink

I ran out to Sally Beauty Supply this weekend to pick up a little somethin somethin for Manicure Mondays and I was so excited to to see that China Glaze and Seche Vite had teamed up to create a set in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. The China Glaze Go Go Pink is a gorgeous chalky mod pink in the hue of BCA’s signature pink. The set also comes with my FAVORITE Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat and a beautiful key chain angel charm, all for only $8.99. It’s such an easy and elegant manicure, and a great way to support a cause in style!

Now y’all know I always have to add a little razzle dazzle to my manis, so I also picked up this Sally Girl sequin glitter top coat, in nearly the same shade of pink, for a bit of sparkle at only 93 cents. I’m not really into glitter polishes, but I really LOVE these sequin top coats. The last one I did (Gold Sequins over Pale Pink) has become quite popular around the net lol.

So what do you all think of my manicure? Is this something you would try?

On a side note, I finally broke down and started watermarking my manicure pics and I’m so bummed about it. Even after my manis started spreading across the web, I still held strong on not marking my images because I feel the manicures and photography are artsy and I shouldn’t have to muck it up; however, once people started taking my images and text as though they had done the mani themselves, I figured it was time. I often spend nearly an entire Sunday afternoon on my manicures (trying out different ideas, painting the mani, sometimes a little artwork, taking pics, editing, blogging the write up and links) and I really don’t mind people using them, but it would be nice if they asked and/or linked back with credit. I hope the marking is subtle enough and doesn’t take away from the pic.

LOVE! I really love those sequin top coats. They look so cool. :) I may need to pick up that China Glaze set because I am almost out of Seche Vite! Thank you so much for that recommendation, by the way!

Love that pink nail polish!! I almost bought today the pink one tha OPI has launched..now that i´m seeing this i think i will go back to get it! It´s a really cool way to support this cause!

I seriously can’t believe that hexagon glitter was only 93 cents. Guess where I’m going tomorrow? :D

And I don’t blame you for watermarking. The watermark is seriously not intrusive at all. In fact, I didn’t even notice it until after you mentioned you started doing it. I had to scroll back up to look for it haha.

ohhhh good, im so glad it didn’t stand out. isnt that a bummer that i have to degrade my images just so someone doesn’t use them as their own? thanks for the feedback.

also, yes 93 cents! i picked up their gold sequin glitter too and I plan to do a test to see if it is a dupe for Deborah Lippmann’s Boom Boom Pow. BBP has shimmer in addition to sequins, so if it’s just sequins like this top coat, then it may be a semi-dupe, but at that price, you can’t beat it!

Gorgeous! Your manicures always look flawless. What’s your secret?

    • jennifer says:

thanks so much. i don’t really have any secrets, but i do plan on doing a video soon on the steps i take from beginning to end (filing, painting, cuticle care, etc.) im so happy you like the mani and thanks so much for the comment!

I agree with Kel, your manicures always look amazing and I would love to see a video of the steps you take!

Love this mani, such a beautiful pink, and the glitter goes perfectly with it!

If it helps, I didn’t even notice you had a watermark when I first looked at the pics, and I had to scroll back up to see what you were talking about! It’s sad that you have to do that, but I can see for sure how it’s necessary – I have seen your mani pics on blogs plenty of times with no credit or link, and I recognize them instantly.

    Jennifer,

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this manicure. It looks sooooooo amazing!!! Seriously, it’s so simple but makes such a statement.

The watermark is OK, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. The pics still look fab!!!

Love the glitter and what a great price. I was just at Sally a few days ago. Unfortunately I arrived just as they were getting ready to close so I only had time to run and grab what I needed. I wanted to check out the polish – and look what I missed! I had a 15% off entire order coupon too! I’ll be taking a trip back for sure.

I don’t mind the water mark. You have to do what is necessary. Can’t wait for the video on how you do your mani. They are so great looking. I think it might be the wonderful condition of your cuticles also.

OMG, love the sparkles with this pink. seasonless!

  9. Lia says:

Love this!! The glitter totally makes it!! I love your manis, Jen, and that stinks that people are stealing your pics! I don’t mind the watermarking, keep up the amazing manis!!

I love this!! Especially the glitter that you added!! Totally sucks that people are taking your pics! The watermarking isn’t distracting or anything though.

  11. This is absolutely gorgeous! I think I’ll be heading to my Sally’s soon because this pink glitter top coat is SO pretty!

Also, I didn’t even notice the watermarks until I read that – so there you go! :) I don’t blame you one bit for doing that.

  13. Kristin says:

Gorgeous! I just love the effect the glitter gives it!

  14. Taylor says:

Very pretty, I’m actually glad you started watermarking. I see your manis all over tumblr, lol. I’ll be looking for your mani tut!

  15. Kimberly says:

This is GORGEOUS! I love Seche Vite, too. I’m sad right now, because it looks as if one of the packers, during our move, stole my entire manicure kit! I had a train case full of polishes and files, topcoat and treatments. Now that I have to rebuild my kit, I think I’ll start with this, and the sequin glitter, too! Thanks!

  16. Freddy says:

I don’t get why China Glaze would pair up with seche vite for a cause like breast cancer. Seche vite has toluene which can cause birth defects and brain damage! That’s pretty bad.

  17. melissakisses says:

hey…i just found this blog by mistake..and i love it. wow. that polish looks amazing..thanks for making my night..im havin a good time reading! PS>..is it really bad to use someones pics? like if theyre on google or somethin? OMG cause i so do it all the time.. like if i dont have a pic of a certain nail color but i do own it..ill take a pic and use it..OMG im a criminal..wahhhh

Back to say I was thisclose to buying this set on Saturday. My Sally’s finally got this in stock {nevermind that the month is almost over :|}.

  19. Brienna says:

Over memorial day weekend, I found this little set on the clearance rack at my local sally for only $6.99. On top of that all their clearance was an additional 50% off. That price would’ve been a steal for either of the bottles much less the entire set! I was so excited that I bought all of them to give as gifts. Of course I got the little bottle of sally girl sequin polish to go with it!

  20. Teresa says:

I know this post is old, but I was reading your backlog because I just discovered your blog, and wanted to say — I actually PREFER the watermarked images! That way I don’t have to worry about rembering where I got them, or accidentally losing the link, or whatever. Plus, it means if I reblog images from others (like to tumblr or pinterest) I don’t have to worry about others stripping the source or credit when they reblog. I love having all that right in the image where it can’t get lost. I don’t think it takes away at all. I think it adds!
