Chanel Morning Rose vs. China Glaze Naked and OPI Chapel of Love

It already feels like summer here in Florida, but despite the 100+ degree weather, summer isn’t here just yet. To get ready for the upcoming season that’s just days away, I thought I’d do another Chanel nail polish look for less from their 3-piece Summer 2011 collection. Chanel’s Morning Rose is a gorgeous creme pink with a barely there gold micro shimmer. I borrowed my friend Jessica’s polish again so that I could do a comparison in person and she also brought me her bottle of China Glaze Naked to test, as she thought it may be a great dupe. I’d already heard a few internet rumors that OPI’s Chapel of Love may also be a good match, but I couldn’t find any comparison swatches, so I picked up a bottle to test the claims.

Both China Glaze Naked or OPI Naked were great looks for less if you have either on hand; however, neither was a perfect dupe like the Chanel Mimosa look for less we featured last week. Jessica’s instincts were right on though – I think China Glaze Naked worked was a better match because, although the barely there shimmer was silver instead of gold, the shade of pink was right on. OPI Chapel of Love was a gorgeous color; however, it is slightly darker than Chanel’s Morning Rose and, although it did have a gold microshimmer that you could see in the bottle, it doesn’t show up in person or in the pics, and my macro setting shows all, for good or for bad lol.

So what do you think of this Chanel Morning Rose look for less? Is this a color you would try?

I have the Chanel Morning Rose and I love it! Such a pretty pink color.

  2. I have that OPI color, but haven’t worn it in a while…maybe I’ll give it a try again!

I kind of *really* love the Chanel version best. As you said, there’s no clear dupe of it like Revlon’s Mimosa dupe (which was SPOT.ON.) The other colors are quite lovely, but seem to lack that microshimmer that the Chanel has. I’d have to go with the Chanel on this one still. PS, I’m kinda obsessed with your ring!

I couldn’t resist myself and went straight after work to the nearest sally and bough the china glaze naked. I arrived early at the office and just did my nails, and I’m IN LOVE!!!!!!!! Looks so cute and pairs with almost anything. And the shimmery touch is amazing!!!!!

I’m pretty sure China Glaze Pink Rox-E is the closest dupe I have seen so far! The China Glaze Naked is super close, as well.
